I think I saw it a few times, was it on very late, probably in bed  people looked well and good back then, not carrying a load of hatred around inside does that to you. Not all bitter and twisted. Quite commercial tunes but fun. Mikaela looking hot in stripes.
The dial is Glowing 88-108 , spin the wheel to light those Red LEDs , see signal needle rise.

Ah yes, essential post-pub entertainment back when I was a student... happy (and less complicated) days indeed!

There was an article in the Guardian on THMAH a couple of weeks ago.

I recall there being one that went to an actual underground rave and people were, a bit off thereheads and not on booze. Someone sent it to me a long time back probably on youtube as well. I only spotted it a few times as I probably went to bed by midnight.

That was the eclipse rave at Coventry, I used to have it on Betamax

It was quite funny seeing Pete Waterman and Micheala Strachan completely out their comfort zone. I think it might have been the moment of realization for Pete that he would never sell another Donovan single ever again

I get the feeling they both didn't want to be there at the rave, Pete looked high, sounded like a racket but funny at the sametime, when pacman drops at 24 minutes in. 8-)
I don’t think Micheala liked it that much don’t see her, when she said it was smelly wonder what it smelled of, socks? maybe something nice like outside after a storm but probably not.

I can imagine the smell would have been sweaty with a dash of numerous lynx shower gels and cigs with a slight smell of weed, just underneath the smell of Vicks vapour rub, for't Rush  :whistle

Watched it a few times when i was in! It was unreal at the time..I was thinking, wtf! A rave ont' telly presented by someone older than me dad and a children's TV presenter??? Old Pete loved it by the looks on his face...he was like amazed at the fairground rides and people not pissed up and getting on with each other instead of the usual meat market bevveyd up crowd! Pete owns the phrase ' bangin tunes'!

Some DJ played a bit of the hit man and her on fantasy which he recorded off the telly, in mono because nicam stereo TVs were expensive, probably!

I do like Pete he reminds me of a carpet shop sales man or something, liked people in the 80’s weren’t trying to be cool, there for fun of it.

I've got a great fondness for the saw sound all the music then, mel and kim, bananarama, kylie, many hours spent behide the sofa making things, such a positive message through everything then. You knew who everyone was on tv, tv was all people had then, I do miss it an awful lot, everyone today is unforunately watching things on subscription based services you can’t watch, watching people through the internet who you can’t get into.
