website is going faster now

Post by radionortheast » Sun Aug 03, 2025 9:27 am

 it has been quite slow
Seems to be something that was happening daily, wesbite would load but then would go slow, also I was not able to search for 15khz low pass circuits, i’m not sure if i’m interested in searching for them or not now.
This was the error
“an error 522 means that the request was able to connect you your web server, but that the request was able to connect to your web server, but that request didn’t finish. The most likely cause is that something on your server is hogging resources.”
hopefully the porker has been removed, taken some were else for a feeding

Yup I have been getting the 522 and 525 errors in the daytime all week, it improves in the evening. I did an availability test at uptrends that showed it was a worldwide outage returning error 522, that's the internet version of sniffing your armpits. I assumed it was the admin doing work, one off the uptrends locations will usually get through if its a DDoS attack or heavy server load.

Is this site going to be affected by the UK Government's stupid "Internet Safety" Bill? They're using DNS manipulation and a few other nasty tricks to redirect some site queries. You might have to relocate the site abroad, and give it some innocuous name to avoid their interference.
It might also be wise to set up some dummy proxies for its ownership!
"Why is my rig humming?"
"Because it doesn't know the words!"
