ETG500DR Fault!

Post by ehsanspicedigital » Thu Jul 03, 2025 3:35 am

Hello All! Hope everyone’s well. Okay so my ETG1000 is still out of service, I’m still waiting on parts to repair it. Now today randomly my ETG500DR has decided to throw a fit. I’ll attach 2 videos. The fans pulse, and this is the situation of the power output. Really really weird. If you could give me some protentials before i take the lid off? When you turn the TX off the fans ramp to full for a good 2 seconds while the caps discharge. What do you think. Brian probably has the most experience with these older style elenos TX’s!

First thing to check is the voltage rails to see if the voltages are stable. Could just be some crusty electrolytic caps causing instability and the fans slowing when the voltage drops.
