Talksport transmitter 'sproggs' from 1053

Currently 1053 KHZ has spurious carriers appearing approx 4.8 KHZ both up and down from 1053 KHZ (from Droitwich)

sounds nasty - most especially on receivers that actually produce good AM audio with a pronounced 4.8khz whistle

Either the transmitter itself is generating sproggs or the audio fed into it has a serious problem!!

I’m sure 909 moorside edge does this, or maybe was, I suppose noone much is bothered if the audio is breaking through on other channels now, imagine they might be leaving them all untill they break down
