Square section or round tubing

Post by surefm » Tue Nov 15, 2022 6:14 pm

Been given a load of square aluminum box section, thinking of building an aerial out of it, either a single dipole, Yagi type or a 5/8 Wave, is it suitable or does it need to be round tubing.

Thanks :tup

It doesn't really matter what shape it is. You can even use bits of wire to make an aerial. Anything conductive works.

"Because it doesn't know the words!"

Thank you, Albert, wasn't sure if it would affect the radiation pattern. I shall go and have a play.
