Guardian & The observer 1995 "The founder of the long-standing London reggae pirate station FM, DJ Keithley, was fined 11,250 in the year up to July 1994, and a colleague pounds 3,200. At Keithley's last court appearance it was made clear, next time would be prison time."

I got a tape of Lightning 90.8 dated January 1989. However I've not lived in London for years, I do remember being shocked a couple of years back of it still going when I was in London and actually heard it on the same frequency!

It hasn't been constant though and has had a few year gaps along the way.
....Hasn't Galaxy 102.5 been going for the same amount of time, I'm sure they were on 105.2 back around the end of the 80s?

Your right lighting started Jan. 1989 but its had a 3 year break about 15. Years ago station started in 1991 with no break making them the oldest

Galaxy was on 105.2 at that time your right but they have had to many breaks to qualify as oldest
