Short

When I measure between the output connections on this pallet I get a full short (no resistance) is this to be expected? I have other pallets and don't get a short? Sorry to ask but would rather check than switch it straight on (still learning).

Does anyone know the make of this pallet?

Cheers

there is no make :D it was made by meeeeeeee!

yes you get a short, because the rf transformers is grounded, this is normal
This has gradual power increase, so when you first power on the power slowly increases from about 10w to full power, the lights flash whilst this is happening. Its so you can detect a bad swr before banging out full power. It also has timer on the swr, so if its activated, after 20mins it reboots and tries to power up again, it will do this 3 times and then shut down if swr problem persists

Also strange that you have this "pallet"
Because you only can get it as a complete working rig
So maybe a pallet from a stolen rig?

There should be 2x470p or 1n cap between output line and connector for decoupling. It would not affect anything... [WINKING FACE]

Congratulations radio-berlin appears to be a very nice, well laid out pallet.

Cheers for you help guys, i'll upload some pics of the final build once complete, just out of question the Heatsink seems kind of small compared to other pallets I've had??

Also is the 15V fan output clean enough to run an exciter off, or am I better going off a seperate isolated feed?

No because it has a dc short to help with static and lighting etc. it is decoupled from psu

Mr. Berlin, can you post some schematic of this setup (output part only)? I'm not sure I understand how this is done...

The voltage decoupling is before the balun
You can see the ATC cap
This is done to protect the amp for statics
