eBay gear!!

Hi,

Seen some 1w pll and 200w amps on eBay from Holland!! I've heard in here that that gear is pretty good?

Question is, I'm pretty green when it comes to electronics, I normally get my stuff fully built in an enclosure.

But if I wanted to but both these, I take it setting it all up would require a little technical know how?

Cheers

These two can be build without fancy rf gear (except of fine tuning low pass filters). Also, I wouldn't expect full 200w output at the whole band. You need at least rf power meter (which you can buy from bay, also).

The guy who sells those is on this forum and you can buy them together in a box as a full transmitter, so it may be worth spending that little bit extra to save all the hassle.

I like the look of that Exciter, and it's only the postage cost that has held me back from buying it.

RFhead, if you're reading this, is the postage cost negotiable or is this the cheapest tracked method you can do to the UK?
