This made very interesting reading, not so much the ad for this complete hunk of crap, but the reviews, "MR SO CALLED ENGINEER", pretty much biggin up the rubbish, and the faults he picked up on the unit where far from the real concerns.

And the people groaning about the fan making a noise, jeez Christ, your knocking planes out of the sky, interfearing with the National S.O.S frequency, knocking satellites out of space and as for SETI..... they think they have finally communicated with AI.

DON'T BUY THESE CRAPPY PRODUCTS

How they can even get 7 watts out of it is quite astonishing, being as the o/p transistor is only a 5 watt device max. It must get bloody hot.

I think they use the rd06hvf1 which is basically designed for 6w minimum out but can easily do a little more.

Ah, yes. A few of these piles used to use the 2SC1971, I was obviously getting confused with them.

I tested one of these shitty things, around mid band 98-101/2 these push more towards 7w and higher or lower only 5w which I found particularly odd. Although I did notice that the one I brought, for novelty purposes of course had the 5c board inside but 7c on the casing
