I was just remembering this with the talk of the old rn website, there was a station in Tunbridge, it would have a twitter would say what it was relaying, had the frequency listed on it. Someone in billingham would have lpower transmitter, would do the samething, it was a cze. Radioneck tried to advise them on a better aerial they were using the telescopic whip at the back, remember radioneck making some funny comment about a dash might of been about something else. Suppose the coverage can’t be that great been a 5w with the whip at the back indoors, I suppose enough for them to have something there. They’d write what they were relaying too, one time it was christmas fm, neck said good for billingham. The old radionecks was known for some bad stuff bullying, there was some interesting stuff too, maybe fun too.
I think they still have an interest in radio, dj on a community station, interesting I suppose dose make you think what was different then. Well I suppose it was a nice dream

Before the original rn website went down the tonbridge one said they had closed down but they may return in future, it was left open, i’m guessing they had a better aerial down there, obviously the other went down too, guess if it did continue maybe the frequency could of changed, nolonger announcements of what were of what was going out. Does seem the frequency can’t be annouced now, there would of been no protection from anyone who didn’t like this type of thing, could of been reported, does make you think that fm is more taboo now, not the sweetest taboo.

I can remember a bloke doing something from his house with a dipole just above gutter level on the video and he went off for a drive to try and pick it up it seemed to be going 5 miles + and I think it was a Chinese rig and someone warned him in the comments. I did have a little look but only found this... it might have been this ? It could be the same station you mention ?

I did watch that too, there were some range test videos that I found interesting that they were doing, don’t know if they are there or not now, were my favourite type of video. I don’t know if it was the same station or not, was on 922, I only looked at the location at the time.
I know with that channel they had a range test of a 7w cze type thing, I heard gary numan playing, another about 30w yellow transmitter, they had the uber sensitive ford rds 6000 in the video, likely extend the range of the mini 7w. In the comments they got a 100w, seemed abit much, I don’t know why they got it, it overloaded the front end in tvs, they could only have it on at night, looked like an nrg or veronica in a big box.
It seemed like the original transmission wasn’t bothering anyone, I hope it wasn’t the kind of thing were someone gets something bigger and bigger because they think its what the audience wants, I suppose having something going over night defeats the object of having something that other people could listen to, he must of been driving round listening to it in the mid night hour. He did say he heard a lot of in car transmitters, seems abit much to get over them with.
