Got listening to this,
https://www.piratearchive.co.uk/southea ... -11-86.mp3 something you start listening to like straight away, has the echo on the microphone, like the dj, the music’s good too. I was wondering if it was related to the other veronica’s that were around, seems there were quite afew.

Nice share that sounds so pirate in style. I will have a good listen to that when I get a little time. Sounds like a weekend loft warrior, wish there was a bit more on like that being an Anorak. Part of the enthusiasm of going on was that someone might be listening, the chance of someone stumbling on a small signal these days when people are stuck on a single playing the same stuff over or listening to spotify etc. are very slim.
Not much impetus to bother these days.
Anyway I will listen soon to keep it positive, sounded like be broadcast from inside one of Alberts AM dustbins before burial.

Interesting listen Northeast, guy mentioned Hill Road Eastbourne, which is quite close to a large 200M high hill, Wilmington hill, open fields and a bit of rough ground and given he said hello to 2 people in Kent one in Ashford about 35 miles away could be an NRG and a dipole on a high point ? Maybe 86 was before NRGs time ? Maybe your post will attract a former member of the station to clarify the station set up.
I am enjoying it, a local station for local people.

When Albert talks about the bins it makes me think of the big tall ones you’d get in school, there would be enough space for a dj to sit in one.
Makes you think of getting a microphone, making playlists, putting the echo, i’ve never done voice overs. i’ve though about making playlists putting them on mixcloud, it would be a giant heystack, unlikely to been heard by anyone.
I plan on getting all the music played in this, I can listen to them in stereo, would be great if you find mattrew james hope he’s still out there.
A tottal nostalgia fest, took me right back, to playing with my lego police station, don’t think i’ve heard that version of it only takes a minute girl since then. There doen’t seem much to it, announcing talking about the songs giving a shout out, it is really good, funny that gives a shoutout to someone in a sidcup cresent just some road, does make eastbourne seem really cool.
It dosen’t sound like theres much out there about it, other than it was there for only a few hours, sounded like it was covering much of the south coast.

Matthew James Radio Veronica Eastbourne, Simon Herbert Hill road.
You never know he might pop by
Maybe it is this Simon Herbert ? From a station in Hailsham E.Sussex. same county.
DJ bloke seemed to know everyone on Eastbourne. Instead of being glued to Facebook or whatever people did this on a Friday evening after work ?

The microphone is abit low, does sound simliar, I suppose they’ll be lots of people with the same accent there, we don’t know what simon herbet sounds like.
I couldn’t find anything when I searched for Matthew James DJ, maybe worth searching for Andy Ellis.
They do sent a shoutout to radio atlantis, on the am/fm website said atlantis were raided not long afterwards, sounds like they came from a simliar location. 105.3 is the frequency you’d use at the seaside, a seaside fm use that frequency
