goole station ggv

Something I used hear when were going down the mway on 105.6 on my pocket radio, would be there for a few miles before it went away, would be very strong going over the ouse bridge, would get weaker. I wasn’t sure if it was rsl, it was in mono, i’m sure it played some dance, it may of been a blank carrier sometimes when were going past, its remained a mystery, these type of things did make it more interesting.
One time we went all the way to Hull on the mway, I heard it on 105.6, then another pirate on 105.3, as we got closer to hull, this was in stereo.
I could only pick it up very weakly back at home, alot of the time the frequency had other things on it fantasy fm so was not very clear.
I think it may of been when fantasy moved to 105.9, I heard it coming over very weakly back at home, the letters ggv. I’ve not known if i’d heard the letters correctly at all, was surprised to see it listed on the pirate archive the letters were correct, g stands for grapewine, it is amazing after all this time, know abit more about it, still a kind of mystery. Something of an oddity, as usually these stations exist in cities not in towns.
I managed to find a time table for it, none of dj’s i recognise at all, (dj’s didn’t play at other stations) i’m guessing it was not known about outside of the area, signal would of unlikely reached sheffield or leeds seemed low power. Facebook dosen’t allow me to link to this directly, hope its ok that I saved this. The time table does show it starting at 1pm each day with a postal address for goole.
Later on I was able to hear it at ground level weakly near a nature reserve, must of been before kiss105 started its transmissions . It was easier when it was transmitting white noise to hear it further away. I managed to get hold of the radio I used to have when I was hearing these things, it didn’t work, a bush casset walkman with digital tunning, think it did have good reception. Wonder if anyone heard it
