Digital Soul / Vision Fm problem (in car)

I don't know if it's just my tuner but when I'm in the car and listening to Digital Soul 99.3fm all I can hear is Vision Fm constantly cutting in. It sort of bursts in for a second then dissapears and then happens over and over again making it completely impossible to listen to. I am just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? It only happens in the car and is fine on my home tuner.

I am just curious as to what would cause such an issue??

I have checked both pi codes and they appear to be different, Visions is "C058" and Digital is "FFF0" (only one letter changed from the default Pi code).

Is it possible that Digital has set an alternative freq (AF) on their RDS by mistake?

I noticed it about 4 weeks ago but it is still happening and I'm only about 4 miles away from Digital Soul.

I have tried changing the Vision Fm preset in my car to another station but it made no difference, Vision just keeps bursting into this stations broadcast! :whistle

Only came across this now but ...

Might a station that was formerly on Vision's frequency have used the PI code FFF0 in the past ?
this could be a cause of this, your car radio still remembers the other frequency being associated with FFF0 ...

Unlikely visionuk is over 20 years old and I have not heard digital soul radio for over a year on fm now unless they have come back very recently?

I used to have a similarly weird problem with a car I had. It was a Kia and must have been programmed with a database of Korean radio stations. It would lock onto one of the pirates, display some weird logo and then tune off somewhere else looking for a better signals. Even storing the pirate frequency in one of the memories didn't help. It eventually sorted itself out but not for quite a long time!

Abit like when you receive a station via e skip, it keeps the station name even though you're not listening to it, the other station can be annoying whilst its there. I suppose you are quite lucky to have pirates interfering with each other, we have none here
