Yeah I had a feeling it was the same guy that was recently relaying Eruption on 92.2 now putting Kool out over the air.

I'm picking it up on 94.6 in Bermondsey, SE1. Very weak signal.

Seems that it's weak everywhere anyone can hear it, a few people I know have heard it but I've not heard one person say it's strong anywhere yet.

Probably a 15 to 30w Chinese Deluxe-Special.

I wonder if it's in Stereo??? ....Which would help to confirm the suspicions, but it's so weak everywhere I doubt one can get it strong enough to know if it's in Stereo.

I'd bet it's not a Chinese special and that the power will be switched up shortly :tup

I take back what I said as I'm parked up slightly high ground (60m ASL) and getting it almost crystal clear near Worthing, West Sussex coast.

Great to have some Drum N' Bass on the dial. Living in hope that Rude FM whack up a double some time soon so I can get them over this side of town if they make a comeback

Defo gonna be a China box up high. Kool FM dont setup themselves and the guy that used to setup for them no longer does it. Which is why it’s been off for so long.

It's humming quite badly. Last week it was turning on and off repeatedly, probably SWR protection kicking in.

Do you think Kool reclaiming 94.6 after 3 odd year absence has something to do with Select or one of the other newly community licenced stations likely to be taking that frequency (or just adjacent).
I remember hearing that it kicked off when rinse became legal and took Laylow"s slot .
Kool have been on 94.5-6 for pretty much 30 years Are offcom brave enough to force them off ? Will any legal station really want to step of kool Fm's toes?

It could be that Eruption are back and Kool thought why not join the party

It'll be down to ofcom to make sure the frequencies and adjacent ones are clear in the licensed stations coverage area
