Disturbing message on the website:

Our feb/march transmissions were ended early by an attack on the output site resulting in the loss
of the 1602 mediumwave transmitter it's link and the use of the site for any future broadcasts.

@SamTheDog Sorry to hear this and hope you're ok

Never heard of this station, but found the website. Seems like a lefty-anarcho station on SW and MW. Where are they roughly based? Can't be London as Desi is on 1602.

While I don't agree with much of the politics at the station, attacking them is just unwarranted if they haven't done anything to harm you. Hope you get the rig up and running soon and your staff are OK.

Agree. But everyone on this forum should believe in freedom of expression - politics as well as music.

I think the station transmitted from the wilds of Kent. Don't think there are employees but hope SamTheDog is safe.

For anyone who's interested, this station is unusual if not unique:

Glastonbury was a prior location but I'm sure I read that recent transmissions came from a secret location in Kent.

It would be great to see SamTheDog back on here, at least to know he's ok.

All OK here at tor... (actually on air now..)... When the output site was hit I think it was a group of local far right drunks... smashed the mediumwave TX and it's link, and when our lookout showed his head he was thumped-a bit and thrown down a steep embankment getting cut a fair bit in the undergrowth.....

Transmit site are mobile / portable and usually from mid / north Kent. fed by link from studio.

Name "tor radio" is a left-over from tests in the westcountry years ago..... "TOR-Radio-Glastonbury" as was....

A good way to catch up we me and others involved is to get to punk gigs and radical demos in London.
Most of these are cancelled at the moment, although I'm promoting some up-coming gigs and events....
