There's nothing on 106.5 MHz at the moment - Project's white noise carrier has gone.

It must be local to you - I'm at the top of the highest hill in North London, and there's no noticeable carrier. There's Sam FM from Bristol - which wouldn't be audible with Project on - and I'm getting that in noisy stereo with RDS.

I am still getting the same 35-37dB signal on 106.5 on the West London Global Tuner with it set to 50khz filter exactly the same as it's always been and I've just asked someone else to check and they're are also getting it.

Weird - are you sure that it isn't something strange in the tuner? I've checked on two different receiving set-ups and I can hear Sam FM on the one with the higher antenna. That's a pretty low power signal from about 95 miles away!

Yes I'm very sure it's not just the tuner but let's see if anyone else can confirm.
....People, is there a still a signal on 106.5???

They posted on their facebook early last month apologizing for the length of time They were off, stating it was due to issues beyond their control. Apparently they were moving studio as well. Maybe it's something to do with those. I hope they will get back on soon.

I've got a few aerials up here - the big beam on the rotator is an 8 X-Y (both vertical and horizontal elements) with a switch box that allows selection of Vertical, Horizontal, Right Circular, Left Circular and Right or Left Slant, It's a Jaybeam - branded one, but I don't think that they make it any more. The rotator is a home-made effort, based on a stepper motor, which will turn in 1° increments.
I also have a couple of ⅝-wave verticals with groundplanes - one centred on 92MHz, and the other on 103MHz. Each of these give reasonable results across about half the band.
There is a "Discone" and a couple of other wideband aerials, but they're seldom used. They came with the house, as the previous owner was a Radio Amateur and Scanner Nut!
There are also a couple of UHF Yagis, and a couple of microwave dishes.... It's quite a farm!

Thanks Albert and I didn't need a rotater I am only intrested in the gain so do you think a three element pointing to the right direction in an area where there are say unwanted signals like 100.3 from the south coast coming in behind the arial (180 degree the other side ) and being on high ground can be improved?
