Is small Sharp receiver can OK to run with 10-11v?

Hey all,

I am using an adjustable voltage step-down regulator to power my driver and to get the 4w I require it requires less than 12v so it's set to around 10-11v. Will the Sharp satellite receiver can still be OK with 10-11v or will it still require a full 12v?

Cheers, EloPiD

if you use a 7805 regulator for the 5 volt and not a resistor YES then 10-11 volt will work

Hi RF-Head,

I appreciate your reply, especially considering the fact that I am using a resistor on the Sharp receiver.

Many kind thanks, Elo.

If there is a resistor on the can you can put your multimeter after the resistor and look for the voltage there it must be around the 4,8-5,2Volt if so leaf it that way if not change the resistor for a 7805 voltage regulator
