Getting UK Bass Radio on 88.2 in West London. Pretty faint and wondering whether this is London-based or getting here via tropospheric ducting. Signal good enough for RDS to be decoded reasonably well.

I think they were previously on 87.5 south west of London, far out near the coast so probably tropo if you're getting RDS

A quick google search of UK Bass Radio says these guys are based in one of the big cities on the Hampshire coast (I'm not gonna say which one on here) & used to broadcast on 88.9 (it's actually still listed on that dial in the Outer London bandscan thread). Presumably what's being heard on 88.2 is this lot who have most probably moved dial.

To be fair, they have some pretty decent D'n'B on here at times πŸ‘

@mpx and @Casual Thanks for that! Had gathered from a bit of searching and talking to others that there was a station going by that name at the location you mention but then checked out their Twitter account and that lists them as being based in Essex: https://twitter.com/UkBassRadio1 Wonder if they have relocated and that's why we can hear them in London?

Picking up Street Vibez Radio on 90.6 this morning. RDS gives the website https://www.streetvibezradiouk.com but looks like that hasn't been set up yet. Bashment and dancehall music.

Exactly what I thought. I swear they weren't even on 90.2 for that long were they? Maybe they've decided to switch off & go down the DAB route perhaps? (I'm purely speculating here) Or maybe they'll pop up on another dial somewhere in the future? Who knows!

Anyway, Weekend Rush is an interesting addition to the dial! (Definitely the most interesting addition from all the recent Reggae/RnB clones that have popped up in the last week or so) Hopefully they're on a permanant stay & can have a good run πŸ‘

It must have been taken off by ofcom and in recent years house has never hurried back to the airwaves but I would have thought they would have tried a bit harder as 90.2 served pointblank an impressive 14 years before and I am sure it was the same equipment as PB as it was a lot further west than house 1003 was and also there was another station straight after PB for about a month before house took it and I don't think anything is a better frequency very odd

Can't quite understand whats going on with 90.2 as you say famefm, PB were safe on that dial for yonks. Dunno what the problem is, perhaps Ofcom have it in for House FM and won't have it. Still, I hope Weekend Rush make the most of that dial, it's a good one

Another new one... sounds like they're testing the audio as the sound is changing and hearing computer bleeps...

88.0
MUZIK FM
Reggae
RDS: MUZIKFM
PI: 8800
Stereo

Guessing this is the replacement for the defunct Pulse 88.0

Absolutely no trace of 90.2 in west London, unfortunately! Also spied 91.8 a few days ago and 88.0 this morning.

Additionally, it seems someone has left their transmitter on, splattering white noise on 88.2 (defunct link?). It's interfering with Vision on 88.4, although that's been a silent carrier for the past several days.

88.2 is simulcasting Rude FM on 88.6

Perhaps a move back to 88.2 is on the cards
