Is in car transmitter use increasing?

yeah the sound can sometimes be tiny through these things, not show up as been in stereo, the pilot might be set to low, i’ve had a few in mono. People often do seem to search for ones that have good sound quality, it depends on getting a good signal too, their not going to get good sound if they can’t get a good signal through to their radio, if theres crackling, maybe like their frying their breakfast on the bonnet. I suppose someone into tinkering might get lucky find theres some surface mount low value caps they could replace for higher value ones inside that would improve the bass, stereo encoding is done inside the chip, so nothing can be done there, attaching a wire to improve the signal is easy. Would it go back together if it was taken part, seem to often go in the cigarette lighter, lol abit of a taped up mess, its amusing the idea of someone using a cigar lighter.

Could be a form of fun to run a 500mW one in the back seat of car with telescopic antenna up on 87.5 and see if you could override the other ciggy lighter ones with some very strange or comedy transmission of your own imaginations as EFR did once. would worry about some one having an accident though hearing unusual transmissions other than the phone playist.

I like this one. Always pisses me off when I'm listening to a pirate (or my own rig lol) on 87.5 or 87.7 then get someones shitty music breaking through when they drive past in their clapped out corsa. Always been tempted to try a 100w rig in the car with a 1/4 wave on the roof, key up as soon as you hear them break through. Maybe it would scare them off
