The 2SC1971 is obsolete, so it's much better to go for the FET output.

Well ofcourse a FET based amplifier would be "Better"

The RD series of FETs are also obsolete! So technically, None of them are "Better"

Not according to Mitsubishi! They now do them in several "flavours" - according to frequency.
