As long as the satcan has a PLL that can track the drifting horn at the other end, there's no problem at all. Someone on Ebay was selling Sharp satcans with the frequency tracking done using a PIC - I don't know if these are still available, but they really worked well.

There was a pcb on eBay about a month ago. Must have been sold.

If someone need them
I have them in stock 2 versions didgital tracking receivers
a complete board or a digital tracking receiver and 1W driverboard on one pcb
