Yes - wasn't the site admin handle on the original site "Radioneck"? I'd forgotten about that as it was about a hundred years ago. I always thought it was a play on "Radiohead", in other words it's more than just your head, it's your neck too

It originates from the old Whoslocked.com approx around 2011/2012 when someone from Essex who went under the name of P-Dot/Jay Cuzzie came on bickering with some of them and constantly calling people a "neck".

....I'm guessing the name "NECK" stuck as when everyone started boycotting WL.com they created their own forum calling it Radionecks which lasted for a couple of years or so before they decided to suddenly take it down for seemingly no reason and it was brought back again by a third party.

Ah yes, vaguely remember some chatter about it on the old site. There were some good threads on there, shame they were lost when it disappeared.

The original admin's handle on WL.com was named after their Sangean Degen Radio S-DE1103 so for this forum we used S-DE1102 to just play along with it.

Wondered what it would be like if it was called radiolegs, just a picture of a pair of legs at the top of page, someone could find their radio legs lol

Well that explains it, the locked places were mondo unpleasaunt, don’t think i ever had anything happen on the old rn, do remember the onpoint thing getting out of hand, maybe best left alone.

I just though it was maybe after a giraffe, someone once said someone had more neck than one, the word neck I think means talking, I guess it means talking about radio.

Another mystery solved for me - thanks. I do remember on the old site someone had a name like T-PL310 which I recognised as a radio but didn't get the Sangean reference and googling it didn't turn much up, maybe the hyphen was confusing it. No idea how I got the "Radioneck" idea into my head though, normally my memory's good. Maybe it's because I ate all of that cheese I found under the cooker...
