In around 2000-2001 Jake jay did some broadcast's from firth park in Sheffield on 107 with Paul G ( the Astrix and space and eazy d recordings on YouTube come from me via Paul G) and ive still got the tape of them saying they will up the power. So they went off then come back on..I was texting them reception reports 👍. The joy FM geezer you remember i think was MC Buckethead,he was a postman from stocksbridge..Joy had their studio on the pink block linked up to the blue block..Yeah i had SCR on my floor, Dance fm on the 15th floor linked up to the green block and 105fm station on the 10th floor in big Paul's flat who also had dance FM's link aerial in his room pointing at the green block! Them were 't days!👍

Dance fm and SCR were close by remember them saying on Dance fm they could hear SCR in their speakers. I never went to Sheffield with a radio, except on a school field trip, I always wondered were they came from, thanks for that, they came from much further away than Leeds, they didn’t seem to have the same stations in Leeds, there was dream, don’t remember any others playing dance/rave, I could pick up. I liked they would often be on 24/7, the characters involved, aswell as the music been good, had edge to them, huddersfield stations started playing some trance around 1999, it was a bit too late. I suppose I do struggle with pirates from else were like Birmingham and London, never heard those stations, seems grimey, a reality i'm not that keen on it, seems far away from what I would hear coming through the radio, not been part of the rave scene, pirate radio scene, I do struggle to connect with it, don’t see how I could have any kudos, a listener with low power transmitters. I do miss hearing these stations coming through from Sheffield, wish they were still there or something like I could listen too, I found an old recording of Fantasy fm lately, one I remember hearing, the music is all bass treble, they really knew how to take you away. 8-)

This is brilliant too, so pro never heard anything like it, someone should bring back Dance fm so we can listen to it again.

It had to come off some of the networks, don’t know how it was run, the operator came on another forum surprised about, obviously he’d been squeezed off some of them, :o I guess they must upped the rates, I can still hear on the lincs dab has good enough reception, how its been paid for I don’t know, its great that it keeps on going without adverts and news.
With ssdab I think the rates do vary as to which their on, if their run by a community station their usually lower, I think if their out sourced to another company or the place has bigger coverage area I suppose their put up, would likely cost 1,000’s a year, some of the figures i've seen quoted around. I suppose bam bam could stream through a 3rd party website 8-)
Bam Bam is back on Kisstory! I don't think anyone predicted this in 2025
