phasing harness

Post by radium98 » Sun Dec 08, 2024 4:38 pm

Anyone know about how to calibrate phase in nanovna , i have a 2 ways phasing harness from rg11 75 that i made 10 years ago and never try and forget on wich frequency were they calculated , so i need to look at there response and if they are made near correct , and what is the acceptable error i can have . phase degree .

I have never used the nanovna before but I have made a few phasing harnesses with the limited info on the internet.

Couldn't you fit two 50ohm dummy loads on the pl259 plugs and then sweep the band to see where the swr is at it's lowest? This might give an indication of the freq you made them for.

I think you will have some reflections with those connectors and adaptors. There was a German page on the internet that showed how to make one really nice but I can't find it now. If I do I will upload it. :tup

Is that 50Ω coax? I'm sure you're supposed to use either 75 or 100 for it to match properly

RG11 (as mentioned) is 75ohm nominal impedance.

I just found that link, some really good info... (just scroll down)
