Some nice recordings on there. Very warm and cosy to listen to on a winters day. :tup Calderdale Sound sounds so pro
it is like a legal station.

i’ve listened to a few simliar sounding stations on the pirate archive, I think they were around up here before commercial radio started on fm or when it when it was just starting. Much more is known about radio in London, seems like it moved from offshore to landbased, afew of the people been involved in landbased commercial sounding pirates in the capital moving over to licenced radio stations, the wireless telegraphy act killed off those stations, stations like jackie got a licence. Theres a weird link with someone from caroline been involved in setting up the kiss brand. I’ve not found any links up north to any of the offshore stations, any big names were involved, they were for the local community, played pop mixes, took adverts business’s nearby, the station i was listening to seemed to be making fun of a dj getting a hair cut in a local salon, maybe both the wireless telegraphy act and the rise of ILR radio killed them off. I often try to think of a station in the 90’s that was simliar, it will one dj playing, not a group, they wouldn’t of run any adverts, they couldn’t exist. I do know of a dance station in hull that went round got adverizing from local businesses, I suppose pirates would always been forced not to do so, has lead up the divisive licencing system, means we have big devides, view that something shouldn’t be there. I only think what could of been, wonder what all the people involved in any of these stations are doing now, it is unwritten part of history.
