RF Friends Unfortunately there are many false transistors from China but there are some who are paid to say this is not good. I researched and made sure that under the different markings was the original thing.
Personally, I've been buying fake (different labels) for two years now and they work perfectly. You do not need to believe everything that is posted on the internet .. we need trusted store... only this is important...
p.s.
sorry to everyone who bought real fake.

Well... From my experience
The picture they use to advertise the product they are selling does not mean that it is what you will receive.

There isn't alot of reviews so to me it tells a story. If you get reviews with loads of folk commenting on them then you'll be sure what to buy and not to buy.rigmo wrote:RF Friends Unfortunately there are many false transistors from China but there are some who are paid to say this is not good. I get 200W easy (short II test on 220W 15minute but heating go fast obove 48.. i stoped....) 26V my calculation get 80% efficiency... if I run only 175W 25V 8.1A run over 4h temeprature do not cross 36°C

Why don't you put a solid jumper across each screw of the mrf9180 on both ends then screw down but make sure your heatsink is apply a little compound directly underneath then tighten down.

If it is there is always plenty of heatsink compound under my FETs

No Brian. Just anyone who is thinking of this board. Have you still used the same chip after all those months I know we, spoke about this months back about it. But just curious to the point now Brian.BriansBrain wrote:Is that suggestion aimed at meElectronically wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2020 3:04 pm Why don't you put a solid jumper across each screw of the mrf9180 on both ends then screw down but make sure your heatsink is apply a little compound directly underneath then tighten down.

As you can see from the picture of Brian's 150W Linear there is a date of 30-11-19 on itElectronically wrote: ↑Fri Oct 16, 2020 11:58 am No Brian. Just anyone who is thinking of this board. This is the date the MRF9180 was replaced for a genuine one, he has been running at 26V @ 8A for 16hrs a day ever since
In 25 days time that will = 1 year

tru...
only we need extra gnd pads if heatsink coated... clean aluminium or copper do not need this pads...

MRF9180 is apsolute leader for investment... cheep and nice output... its very sensitive but if have nice protection can run forever... efficiency is above of 80% drive under 500mW out is 180-190W cold run... under 43°C

Is the output clean when you are doing 180 watts output for 500mw input?
