DAB Transmitter
For the ones that are interested in DAB transmission:
I started experimenting with an EasyDAB modulator, and made a short movie of my setup
I believe that FreeDAB ireland is using the same modulator.
Next step is to build an antenna, and possibly an extra amplifier

Re: DAB Transmitter
My only concern is if that little thing is clean enough to be able to go into a 300 to 400w amp??
....Reminds me of a Raspberry Pi

Re: DAB Transmitter
It's relatively clean but a filter before the PA wouldn't hurt.

Re: DAB Transmitter
Shoulders on -40dB is good when after the amplifier
If you lower the output of the modulator it's mutch cleaner (to about 0dBm)
We use a mask filter after the amplifier

Re: DAB Transmitter
Planning to make a stacked 3 element gammamatch dipole setup - but am waiting for my NanoVNA-H.
Already did some testing with my CD-95Y Log-Per, that has an unexpected good SWR @ 234Mhz!
Not sure if it still performs good at this frequency - but got a 2Km range with 1,5 Watt @ 7 Meters antenna hight.
Not bad if you ask me..
