Unknown first broadcasted on 97.1 back in 1996 (I remember Evo and RST used to be on their back then & then I heard from a trusted source that they were paid to return to unknown fm when they occupied 3 frequencies) After 971 they took a worthy break & came back on a few years later on 90.2.. They then swapped 90.2 with point blank for 108, & shortly after also started broadcasting on 90.6 as well as 108.. They then decided to broadcast on 89.4 as well as 108 & 90.6!!!!! I could pick them up all over London & surrounding like kiss fm!!

108 (Live from Shepards Bush)
90.6 (from hungrey hill/Highgate)
89.4 (Edmonton)

Fresh were given 90.6 when shit finally hit the fan & then they tried a merge on 894 but didn't last long..!

Around the time Fresh were on 90.6 they were on a brown block over Hornsey way, 89.4 wasn't far up the road and 108.0 was up on Highgate along with 95.1 and another station called Hightz 87.7. This was about 5 years ago.

I'm sure that's true buddy, they were being ripped down left right & centre as you could imagine, any block they had access too they would use & restore overnight in order to be on at least one of the frequencies for the breakfast shows... Way too much work in my eyes!!

I stand corrected! I think they started in 98 not 96 & 108 was oringally coming from Swiss Cottage not Shepards bush... Freeze fm were also using one of the Swiss C blocks at the time too.. Amazing coverage from those blocks!!!

Uknownfm were on 971 for the first 6 years of their time from 1998 till 2004 then 90.2 till 2007 then the point black 108 swap and not long after decided on their multi channel period? I don't why they didn't keep 90.2? Look how long point blank have had it? 9 years now not many stations have managed that?
