Re: X - band horn? or what is it?
Looks to be a bit of a hybrid between a WR-112 and a WR-90 waveguide, which are designed for the H band and the X band, respectively. I "measured" it in Paint by cutting the ruler out and moving it up to the waveguide and estimate that it's about 28 mm x 10 mm on the outside. This will be smaller on the inside, as the material has a thickness (probably 1 mm) which isn't ideal geometry for any band really.
Can you measure the width and the height waveguide and the thickness of the sheet steel it's made from? Then I can tell you what it's on.
The waveguide is the long parallel section.

This is WR90 waveguidethewisepranker wrote:Looks to be a bit of a hybrid between a WR-112 and a WR-90 waveguide, which are designed for the H band and the X band, respectively. In which case, I believe I have answered your question.

Re: X - band horn? or what is it?
I want to do gunplexor 10 GHz of this device .
That was what that device is made in the Soviet Union in 1961 .
horn waveguide and are made of copper.
Inside the mixing diode , followed by the piston mechanisms ( it can move along the waveguide )
I understand it to adjust the frequency .
I want to replace the mixing diode Gunn , and make it a transmitter .
I was also concerned about the question of why such a long waveguide ?
it can be shortened ?
