Is this any good ?

Everything technical about radio can be discussed here, whether it's transmitting or receiving. Guides, charts, diagrams, etc. are all welcome.

Is this any good http://jpl995.com/PLL-875-108-Mhz-P424003.aspx ?
It will just be something to play, experiment with. I was thinking of picking up some cheap Chinese thing of ebay but i figured this would be much better and it's cheaper too.

Of course if someone can recommend something else decent I'm all ears.

That's just pll, not a driver/exciter. he does do them in 1w and 500mw though.

It's just to add a PLL to a VFO, you want them both on same board as exciter. Search for his other items and go for the 1w pll transmitter.

I've bought an Amplifier from this jpl995 guy a while ago and it self oscillated. Not good!

Just had a look at the 1w PLL driver he sells, and as well as the soldering being pretty shit, it appears the circuit uses a BH1415F which I'm led to believe isn't up to much.

I'm waiting on RFHEAD on here listing a driver on eBay as I've heard they're good, and reasonably priced as well. Been waiting weeks now, though. Lol.

The BH1415 is an "audio sender" IC. It was invented for the little toy transmitters that people use to connect their iPods to car radios. They're not particularly good quality, and they output spectrum is horrible. Best avoided!
