As for Mixin....... Who cares. 1w or 1kw at least the Love Nrg guys are on air. If you think you can do a better job then step up and put your money where your mouth is.
Agreed Sound FM :tup

We've got such a small radio scene up here in the north west let's no spoil it.
So what if 100.7 doesn't reach miles out of Manchester like the other, let's just enjoy what we've got.
My thoughts exactly Culture fm :tup
Doesnt reach out of manny city centre i wasnt meaning to sound like i was hating but its the same charge if u get caught running 5w as 150w and with 101.4 banging out its putting love nrg in the shade its good that love nrg are on but with a decent signal it would be much improved as struggle to get at all as soon as u get past old traff

Picking up Sound fm very nice up high in the outskirts of Manchester on 87.5 , scrolling rds too. Good stuff.

Lovenrg sounding much better and locking on much more solid.

Yeah I noticed they had link issues yesterday. Looks like they've retuned as sounding much better today in a wet and miserable Manchester city centre.

I may be wrong but it sounded like X Band had drifted ever so slightly.

So this is what the Manchester scene currently looks like, which is a damn sight better than it's been for many of years!

87.5 Sound FM
100.7 Love NRG
101.4 InnoV8 Radio
105.8 Irie Irie

That's about 3 more than there usually was....

We haven't changed a thing apart from changing where the audio was sourced from thats all however we were testing a new TX yesterday and for the brief 10 mins before it blew up were booming out much better , sad thing is we only just had it repaired ready to come on with a much better signal but it wasnt too be as i speak its being repaired again and hopefully in a week or two we will be back with a much larger scale signal so hold tight all ;)

Did you check the SWR? It's all well and good getting it repaired but if the aerial is out of SWR it's going to keep on blowing.

...I've found your audio source can add noise to the carrier and decrease your signal quality, a bit like with excessive RDS level.

When i said changed audio source i mean were using a new lappy now for the stream to midpoint and yes it was a rigdoctor we dealt with, SWR is fine bro but rig not so fine lol

Someone calling themselves Oxygen FM - they seem to like early/mid 90s house & dance music, which is fine with me. :)

Call me a cynical old fart but it's all rather strange that Inov8's rig goes for a walk then someone turns up on that frequency a few days later. #justsayinglike.

Shuffy, do you know the person/people behind Oxygen?

I was thinking that myself.. Weird... But not improbable... I'm just waiting for something coming on on 87.9 somewhere in Yorkshire with innov8 glowing ont rds... Assuming innov8 had rds!
