Anyone seen this news on the Origin FB page? Looks like they will be broadcasting over London and Surrey on DAB

I'm still a big fan of Rude. Not so much Origin nowadays.

RO UK is the new name for the merged station apparently. It'll be on the Surrey DAB mux.

Was told this was happening a few weeks ago, seems like every ex-pirate station and their dogs are getting handed out DAB licences.

Thought Origin and Rude had finally pulled the plug. It's nice and intresting to see these two big DNB stations merging together like this.

Still like Rude. Always been a fan since the mid 90's. Even though they are a bit sporadic on the FM, the dj's have been pretty much top notch. Used to like Origin, but in recent years, they seem to be letting anyone with cd or USB stick play at times. Anyway, hopefully this will raise the bar and work in favour for both stations. If not, hopefully Rude hit the FM again

Rude FM have put a statement out saying the join was never agreed, and to disregard what origin are saying.

After you just said that I've just seen it....

I don't get it why would origin say they are joining up with rude fm if they not.

Maybe its the Ruud Awakening half of the original Rude FM from when they split and went on 104.2

So who is lieing then Rude FM, Origin FM or both of them???

That might be it, but you would at least think they could add the right logo. But the statement put on the rudefm FB does make sense to me,
origin and rudefm are like chalk and cheese, i'm not sure how the programming would work.

Speaking of Ruud Awakening I heard the news that DJ Chillum passed away a couple months back. Sad news. His Sunday night sets back in the day on Ruud Awakening were absolute fire!

I always thought they were a couple as well as management, or at least that was the impression I had every time I met them.

Not sure how he can lay claim to the name of a station that walked away from approx 20 years ago lol
