Buckingham - Any pirates? Visiting family next week....

Post by Culture FM » Wed Aug 17, 2022 7:04 pm

Hi guys,

I am heading down from Lancashire to a small town called Buckingham near Milton Keynes and Oxford.
Just wondering if there is any frequencies to listen out for. Do any London stations or Birmingham stations reach there? :?:

Thanks :tup

104.3 seems to bang out everywhere probably worth trying 👍

Not in that area BBC Northampton is strong on 104.2 I only said 87.5 FM and 87.8 because they are the only channels not in use as long as you are not next to someone in a car listening to a podcast transmitter but it's 60 miles away so it's a long shot

I dunno why you would want to be on 87.5. When iv listened to Live FM in the past I get itrips cutting in every 2 mins where people don’t change them off the default frequency. Iv also listened to peoples phone calls through them when sat in a car park 😂

I know what you mean but I have been on high ground near highwycombe and with no other car's around 87.5 is still clear without other cars driving around

thats one of the reasons I don't transmit now, I do find them interesting when there going by, mostly a lot of r and b I get, there was one I used to get was like a babies rattle, it was 50 khz off the frequency which made it strange, occasional children's programes mostly a dead silent carrier.

Sadly nothing at present. UK’S Finest on 87.5 were on for many years ( approx 2003-2017 ) and put out a great signal across Bucks, Oxon and Berks .

It's enoying on 87.5 even in London livefmuk is interrupted every 2 minutes by a local mp3 player usually playing R&B
