Was this in the Late 80's early 1990s...? Was it local to our N-Kent area?

We used to get in a few pubs in Bex-Hth.. (W-N-K-R team) Every few weeks we had the big-envelope of mail from the wuppertal dropbox arrive and we'd go through it over a few pints of beer....

I was asking as I lived near the gas place in the cray-valley and they were at the time still on mid-band! So would pop-up on Band-II occasionally. Later they were moved-off to a new frequency allocation

Picture attached is a view back to the studio from the Cray-valley block roof towards the gas-board
