Croydon FM is now testing from the Croydon mast on 97.8, not a bad stereo signal here in Bermondsey SE1, perfectly listenable, 6 miles away as the crow flies, must be a banging signal further south of here, especially in the Borough of Croydon itself.

I just tried it in SE22 and it's booming into here as if it's the other low powered legal round here Reprezent 107.3.

That's not surprising as it's coming from Arqiva Croydon and you are much closer to that tx site than I am. I expect the parameters will appear on the next Ofcom spreadsheet to be released so we'll be able to work out an idea of its official coverage then.

I have picked this up as far away as Uxbridge so not nearly as bad as I thought 97.8 would be

It's enough for the Croydon area that they are supposed to serve they don't claim to be for anywhere further out

Not as weak or as bad as the reception from the 94.0 community station in East London and the worst was definitely the thing on 92.2 in Hammersmith although I believe that has gone now like I said i picked up Croydon fm when I came back home 3 weeks ago on the M25 between the M1 and Watford Junction with a Ford radio in my car

I think at launch it was stronger as it's now hissy central.
