This is driving me nuts, I’m out of the area at the moment so am relying on the stream

It has been unlistenable for all of today. Online listener count is a clear indication of this.
Left sounds better in comparison and like it might be from the mixer, right sounds like its from the mic only - a quick press of the mic mute button will prove this (while listening to the stream long enough to hear a difference ;) ). There is in excess of 12dB difference between L&R.

A quick fix but when nobody at HQ is listening to pgm output (if it's all connected how I think it is I can see why they're not), it will continue. Pity

It's tolerable now, but the mic the MC is using tonight is a bit off.

Also the sound is in opposite phase sometimes. Check your balance guys!

If they're running compression with stereo enhancement with an incoming signal that's left heavy, it will sound odd - even 'phasey' odd

First off, good luck to Flex.... following-on though...they have gone legal... so why are people involved in the station posting up pictures of their TX gear on a pirate radio forum and why are they advertising a mobile number to get through to them (or so I saw on a post above) - you've gone legal... move on

Fair comment. More listeners on the live stream than I expected. Better signal on FM as a pirate though... where I am anyway... even with those second hand rigs they used to use :whistle

In the early days of rinse legal they still had a mobile number but later on it was only email or social media to get through and talking of rinse I am beginning to dought if 106.8 will return

It sounds like they fix the audio on the stream finally.

Sounds very toppy like they're running with pre-emphasis on the stream. But agreed, the levels have been more consistent.

Maybe they feed the stream with the off air FM signal. That's the pre-emphasis you hear.

It shouldn't be because the radio's de-emphasis should bring the audio back to normal.
