Actually this morning's playlist reminds me of Dutch station Jamm FM, who play soul, funk, disco, boogie, RnB and some house. Another one I have saved as a favourite.

I'm pretty sure they must have got a good deal as they are broadcasting on DAB at 32kbps which is only half of most other stations and a quarter of BBC 1Xtra.

Pure's spot on...also like the fact 88:3 is still being used in the name...& Why not, it's crazy that being some 30 years on, us original listeners can remember each frequency our beloved transmitted on...can't remember who if any was on 88:3 before Centreforce myself...as for those who float the dial, you'll never get the loyalty badge !
Two bangers I've not heard to date on the station are French Kiss & Everything starts with an E . These were played every hour guaranteed back then ! Guess they have certain guidelines, saying that tho' I'm pretty sure both got into the Top 40, for what that is worth !
For me, it's been a whole week of reminiscing ...& It's all good !!

It's a great station but very often the same classic house tracks over and over again. And too much talk while a track is playing. Do it between the tracks not while the track is playing.

i kind of agree but pirate radio never operated like this.
It was all about the shouts and the dj chat but i kind of agree with what you are saying and i personally
think they will tone it up a little when the advertisers arrive

The ramsey n recki breakfast show was good today

Hope so. It's not a pirate anymore so a little bit more professional sounding is necessary.

Isn't the point of these small scale DAB stations is so they can carry on in a way that you don't get with mainstream legal radio?

I'm with Pure94. Centreforce returning has been like a breath of fresh air and I'm pleased they have retained the raw sound we associate with pirates. I'm also enjoying the chat. Thank you to everyone involved.
