Still banging into parts of Oxfordshire (sometimes) sound quality isn't anything special but still, a quality station run the way it should be.
Respect to these guys.

Station the way it’s run is great
Music is great
But I’ve had enough of all the shout outs. Gets on my tits, I want to hear the choons not the chat. Lately gone over to 88:75 online n it’s similar in all aspects except the texts.

Guessing they're going on the NE Wales W Chesh mux, which has surprisingly good reach. Will be my main station once they're on at home, but still not getting DAB in my car so I'll have to stick to FM and KCC Live.

Does anyone else find it a little bit stange that they are still calling themselves "88.3" when they haven't been on that for 30 years and DAB is in the 200MHz band lol.... ?

Yes I certainly do there won't be anyone under 45 years old that would remember 883 and when it was on in the late 80s it only lasted 12 months

Popped up on the DAB mux. 32kbit/s DAB+, what a waste. 48kbit/s should be the minimum, everything below that sounds tinny and crap. But I guess the majority of listeners won't care.

Most people don’t have a clue. Noticed they also removed their 320 net stream

Didn't notice they'd got rid of the 320, I was using that as my PC stream link. Oh well. And yeah on an actual radio 32k doesn't sound that bad, but on headphones it's pretty noticable.

Clever calling it 88 3 Centerforce means they are the first station when searching DAB stations

That's odd. I've had the 320k stream saved on my Squeezebox Touch since it started and it's still working fine.

Just looked and you’re right, not sure if I was seeing things or they put it back up.

I have a dab car radio now and I have done a reception test up the M1 driving away from London and Centreforce lasted until Bedford about 55 miles away
