You play an unusually eclectic range of styles on your show. What do you listen to at home?

Pretty much the same stuff as the show. Over the years I've explored quite a few musical byways - many of which turned out to be dead ends - but found enough interesting stuff that rarely, if ever, gets played on the radio, but deserves to be out there.

Luckily, Hive Community Radio, who carry the show, are happy to leave me to do what I want, content wise. ;)

Impressive. That's my philosophy when it comes to music radio too. Keep spreading the knowledge, you're doing a great job!

Pure coincidence, or happy accident. I actually put the playlist together several weeks ago.

I did do a moon-themed show last year - Hive Community Radio did a weekend of moon-themed shows to mark the anniversary of the moon landings.

Its still available in the archives : https://www.mixcloud.com/Hive_Radio/ra ... pisode-99/

RADIO FRANKENSTEIN INTERNATIONAL #139

Thursday 16 April 2020 @ 20:00 BST , plus repeats

Nina Simone was a force of nature, a fact amply demonstrated here by her live reworking of "My Sweet Lord" into something that would have astounded George Harrison (though I'm sure he would have approved).

That's followed by The City Wears A Slouch Hat, a 1942 radio collaboration between John Cage and poet Kenneth Patchen - sort of American noir meets surrealism, a rainy city night and a protagonist who may be supernatural. Great stuff !
