The latest episode of "Mysteries of the abandoned" (S06E06) went to a White Alice site in Nome Alaska.

If you are interested in seeing the ruins of 120 Foot microwave dishes from the 1950's its available at the usual outlets where you do your pirating. The yanks were dropping 50KW at 900MHz into these dishes, bouncing it off the troposphere and receiving it 200 miles away. This was in the days before satellites, but the sites were used for civilian phone relays into the 70's. Prolly think I am a train-spotter now...
