Cableing

Hi,
sorry for asking so many dumb questions but searching has brought up different results.
Am I right that, if a satcan is used you use standard 50 ohm cable and for the transmission site 75 ohm cable?
Also regarding the psu. I have a couple of old 12V 3A powersupplies. Could I use those with some caps after for smoothing the signal? Meanwells are cheap but one thing comes to the other and if it is possible to save money that would be great.
Also when doing the case (I was thinking of something that might fit into a ventilation shaft) are there any tutorials on how to do the cableing and shielding as I understand this being crucial. Trying to read myself as much as possible into it. Did Eurorack modules before but HF Technique is something I don't know anything about.

Satcan you use 75 ohm satellite TV coax, WF100 etc. Don't use cheap TV coax.

12V 3A is good for a micro link box, satcan or 1W driver
