RF Cable

Post by piratefm » Sun Jun 26, 2022 11:16 am

Hi All,

Got a NRG PLL Pro 4 coming soon. It’ll be my first TX build. Going to mount it into a metal rackmount case. But I’m not sure what RF cable to use as a “fly lead” between the board and the case where I’ll mount the RF connector.

It’s got a SO239 connector on the board . Any guidance would be appreciated!

Cheers

Better to soldier direct to the board than use a connector. Use rg58 or rg178, anything that is 50ohms

RG316 would be fine as well if you solder direct to the board like oldskoolpirate says.
