Yellow Spot Trimmers (Vishay Phillips)

Post by mpx » Sat Jul 24, 2021 7:15 am

Fellow necks

One is in search of some yellow spot trimmers

Can't seem to find any on the interweb

Help much appreciated

Really I only need a single trimmer but having a few spares won't hurt. It goes on the base of the final transistor stage and the board is through-hole so a like for like swap is required.

Cheers

Just checked RS, They dont seem to have them anymore?

CPC/Farnell should still have them? They seem to be doing some routine maintenance on the site at the mo?

Judging by your pics? they look to be the 10mm 5-65Pf teflon type yellow trimmers!

These are the 5.5-65pF from search, will they handle the power from the blf244? nothing else coming up that matches the 3 pin triangle shape distribution

They are hard to find. So 5-65pF then. Can anyone recommend an equivalent? The classic yellow 65pF trimmers possibly melt above a few watts?

The trimmers are slightly under rated approx 5-57pf which is close enough!

They are also over rated especially with the BLF244, You could get away with using trimmers that you highlighted!

Also try not to pay much attention to generic images! I will post the link below from CPC!

The datasheet shows a random trimmer image? However check the mechanical specifications of the component!

It is identical to what you need! :)

CPC have exactly ONE in stock (with another 10 to follow in a few days) at nearly £4 each!!!

Thanks Sinus, thanks everyone. CPC had their descriptions the wrong way round for the yellow and blue trimmers but had 1 of each so I've grabbed both. Hopefully can get the PA board working again now. Cheers 8-)
