can anyone tell me how Snow affects output power or distance? had a big flurry of snow yesterday seemed to boost output but maybe that was just my imagination....

when I turn on my 15W was using 37watts power draw it seems to drop to around 30watts draw after a bit and stay there.
the 7 watt one use around 22 watts to dipole as well with quality rg213 cable and just 11 watts on its own one.

Same with the OLD CB radios when it snowed had more distance
