Subjam 104.7

Post by LondonPirate » Fri Aug 09, 2019 11:31 am

I haven't heard them on the air since the late 2000s but I used to really like some of the shows. Does anyone else remember Subjam? It would have been coming out from either London or Outer London.

There's a few in-studio videos around on YouTube too:

I remember catching some of DJ Burns' shows and I liked the flair he had when mixing.

In this video the person holding camera actually shows off their in-studio CCTV

Yes I remember it, I used to listen it quite a lot around 2007 but quite a lot of the type of Garage they used to play wasn't really my kind of Garage taste.

Yep, but its history actually goes back further than the mid 2000s. It was originally known as Time 104.6 before becoming Subjam a few years later around 2005.

There was also a Subjam on 99.1 in 1995/96 but I'm not sure if there was any relation to the 104.7 one.

I agree about most of the Garage they played, but they were still better than True 100.2!
I'm giving up on you guys cos you're all gimps

Used to run it with Groove Master 99-2002 before moving on. TimeFM finished in my kitchen and Subjam was born down in the garage in the studio that was being built at the time. Then it became Heightz Live
