Hi,

Got a station in West Yorks playing dance music on 100fm, not heard before, anyone know more?

I heard there was a station around the Huddersfield area on that frequency, Phatt FM 100.0.

....Are you anywhere near Huddz?

I could hear it faintly in Wakefield, but Kenny has just wiped it out on 99.9.

I remember hearing phatt 100, couldn't get it here so I doubt it's that, I'm near Leeds.

They might just be coming from another site and you can get it this time, or it might be something else. But as far as I'm aware they are the only ones who have used that frequency around West Yorks over the years.

Seems to be loads of activity happening in Yorkshire today.

I think Phatt closed down not been heard since 2012, unless its come back, there was someone in my town who used that frequency but didn’t stay on for long years ago, not hearing anything this morning. I problaly should get it if it is from huddersfield, I get radio sangam strongly here, mostly what I seem to get over here community stations, get asian fever strongly too, fresh and peoples are average

I'm hearing this station again, not strong, but can make the songs out. Spice Girls followed by Scooter... an interesting mix!

Listened after 10 last night nothing detected here, also nothing on 87.9 just heart fm wrexham on 88, a weak carrier there most of the time on 100.0, if there is stuff down in wakefield I doubt i'd hear it out here as most of wakefield is in a hole.

It's on again, doesn't seem to stay on long, I couldn't hear it last night once Kenny came on later!

Does Heart Wrexham seriously go that far?

I can get it no problem in high parts of west yorks

Its definitely not strong enough to walk around or probably for anyone to drive around listening to it, it depends were you put the aerial, you could get hissy stereo on a 90’s tuner only 200 meters from were I live, I suppose its a clear frequency.

At 1,400w ERP and the only station in the whole of the UK on that frequency, it should get out pretty well.
Could get it crystal in Manchester so I'm not surprised it reaches a lot further.

they would come in quite clear if they weren’t 100khz above or below other transmitters

peak fm was the more dominant, now its tempo fm, think asian fever caused more of problem for hearing wire, its fairly strong, strange as it was weak when it first came on

107.6 crash/juice
fair few signals make it over, I guess theres no real difference from when we used to go to the east coast, you could hear stations like ridings weakly and peak fm, that would of been a similar distance to listening to crash/juice back at home, I guess they were vertical too, I don't think they waste their power with mixed polarisation either.
