Dutch pirate "The secret pirate" was shutdown yesterday after 6 days of broadcasting.
The transmitter and double stack antenna were installed at the top of a high voltage pylon at 460ft, reports came from every part of NL
Would not fancy climbing that to stick a TX on top..

Probably inductively coupled to one of the conductors

They tapped of the mains from the aircraft warning lights...
Dutch OFCOM visited the site 2 days after going on-air, but it took another 4 days before someone was available that was authorized to climb the tower.

Not true Ronald
Only by Danceradio (2004) the power came from the lights
In the Youtube Mov you can see me making it
By "geheime Piraat" they had a cable running up the pilon from the ground to the top
You can see the people from the electrical company on the bottom of the tower to cut the power
Thats the only reason why the transmitter thay on air for a few days
How i know? Radio Muziekstand and Danceradio where using the same place in 2008

Ah i see.
From what i've heard, this picture that you are talking about was just for reference, and not of the actual situation on site.
But i know who you are, so i guess you're right
