Maybe they were only told recently that they had to have a high quality studio? Anyway the amount they have is steadily rising

The requirements around funding and how you intend to fund your operation are all clearly spelled out in the application.... I haven't seen their application but maybe they stated on it that this is how they would fund a studio build.... find it odd that Ofcom would be OK with that but, perhaps they were!... as for not knowing they would need to have a hi quality studio... erm... no, I think anyone applying to broadcast a radio station would be aware that they would need good studio facilities!.... anyway, they had a lot of listeners so if they all come through to support them I'd think they'll be OK...

What's happening with Flex?? I thought they got the licence months ago and only now just started to build a studiio? Is there a dead line to get it on air and have they left it to the last minute whats going on? What frequency will it be?

It does seem odd only recently to be looking for funding surely they could have had it ages ago and I have heard of stations getting a licence and never getting on air atall but I don't think it will happen to flex and it will probably be on eventually

Community stations have up to two years to launch after being awarded the licence from Ofcom.

Nobody will bother booking any advertising time with them - their demographic has no spending power. This is the problem that all these silly little stations have found.

Didn't think they could advertise? Rinse don't have adverts on their station, only for their own events to keep going.

Why can they not use the studio they have been using for Years whilst a Pirate? Surely the sound quality can't get any better than it was on 99.7
