station 89.8 fm

Post by famefm » Fri Sep 09, 2016 10:23 pm

I have got station in Windsor Great Park and it's been about 6 years since I last got it there? The boss kiethley still has much energy and enthusiasm now as he did back in January 1991 ?and I remember when they first came on 101.5 for a few months then 99.6? Then they made the move to 898 in December 91? and they have been there ever since?

..... a lot of questions there ?? ... anyway... agree Keithley is THE MAN.... you're almost right, 101.5 > 89.8... never 99.6, that was Ragga at the time of the move...

He's got question-mark-itis like Sinus Trouble. Are the question marks intentional or is it a problem with posting from certain devices?

It was definitely a very short time because at the time it started 101.5 was a totally vacant channel before classic fm even began the 100 to 102.0 fm had just become available for UK fm broadcasting and I was living in reading at the time they weren't allowed to last on it for long and not long probably only a few weeks and I remember looking for them and they were definitely on 966 for a very short time and I remember they didn't last there either SLR where on 996 before them broadcasting in 1990 with djs such as dizzy D who later went on to work on uknown fm anyway back to station I remember not being able to pick it up anymore it was then that ragga fm got and have had it ever since? As for station I only found out that they were now on 898 after talking to Andy milk tray M who at the time was the main man with sunrise fm 88.7 which at the time was an excellent frequency that I could pick up in reading in those days

898 was much difficult to get because even then the BBC had plenty of relays transmitters at the time and then a few years later 898 was taken in reading for another radio 2 relay? Back in 1991 99.6 got out very well because it was still the early days of the new radio 1 roll out on fm and there were still loads of emtey space between 979 and 100
