Re: 99.7 flex
A bit late to the party here, and we're talking over 20 years ago here. I was one of the original Flex Fm DJs after a few of us left DON FM and Flex was never on 93.2 and always on 103.6 and I was in the studio for the first test transmissions up until about 94-95 . I'm guessing that the management has changed over the years and most probably on a different manor as well. The music has defiantly changed and more varied as it was all Jungle back then apart from on a Sunday afternoon I'd regularly spin some old school tunes Good times!famefm wrote:I picked up flex in 1992 when they first started on 93.2 they had to leave 93.2 when the BBC added 93.2 for R4 in 1994 then for quite a few years they had the super clear 103.6 for the rest of their time on air before the many years they were off also very clear today in Windsor

I was only a listener mate, this was when I was only about 13/14 years old.
But I did used to help out Nut and Gussy selling their camping gear on the Brooklands market.

How did raw flex ever get away with broadcasting so close to bbc Essex on 103.5 ? That signal was touching parts of Essex.
